Dichroic FireSticks Bracelet Making Instructions

FireSticks by Pacific Art Glass, Fabrication by Donna Maryanski, Technique by Jayne Persico, Text by Maureen James
(Glass Pattern Quarterly, Winter 2002, Vol 8, No 4)

These bold bracelets are made from layering FireSticks on Black Uroboros glass. Blanks are made at full fuse at around 1450º. The Firesticks are then placed on that piece and taken to a tack-fuse at approximately 1375º. This is placed on the mold and brought to a bending temperature of around 1290º

Firesticks are available in twenty different colors and patterns. Custom runs are also available in other sizes as well as different shapes such as Fireflys and Spirals. All of these shapes are cut with waterjet and firepolished. They are also available in COE 90 for use with Bullseye glass.

Donna says "Give me a FireSticks and I'll find something to fuse with it. It is those impossible to cut, beautiful, little, Dichroic glass pieces that have inspired my best work".
